Marketing & Lead Operations System
Connecting content output to the sales pipeline, one lead at a time.
01 — Context
Marketing activity generated leads, but there was no consistent system for logging them, following up, or handing qualified leads to Sales with enough context to act on.
02 — The Problem
Leads risked falling through the cracks between being generated and being acted on, and content was being posted without a consistent process connecting it to lead capture.
03 — My Role
Marketing at Perla Engineering
04 — The Approach
Split the role into two explicitly owned tracks, each with its own daily and weekly rhythm, and built one shared system connecting them: content that generates leads, and a process that makes sure every lead gets a timely reply and a clean handoff.
05 — The System
A lead-tracking system with defined statuses (new, contacted, meeting, lost), reply templates, and a weekly reporting rhythm, paired with a content calendar with clear rules — including a strict rule against posting anything that isn't real project work.
06 — How It Works
A new lead is logged within an hour and replied to within two, using a template. Qualified leads are handed to Sales the same day with full context. Anything unanswered after 24 hours gets followed up. A weekly summary — total leads, source, status — goes to management.

08 — Implementation
In active use as the standing process for content and lead handling.
09 — Current Evidence
A separate, CV-documented result from this period — a 30% increase in lead generation — exists, but isn't confirmed to be specifically attributable to this system versus marketing activity more broadly. It's presented on its own under Results rather than claimed here.
See the Results section for the CV-stated marketing figures from this period — they’re kept separate from this write-up because the two aren’t confirmed to be directly connected.
